Blacked-Out Special Edition Lexus RC F SPORT Coming to USA

Lexus USA will be offering the special edition Black Line RC 300 & 350 F SPORT at dealerships in the spring. Available in Caviar and Atomic Silver exterior colors, there will only be 650 units available nationwide.

This follows similar announcements by Lexus Japan & Lexus Europe, who will also have limited runs of this RC special edition. Here are photos of the Japanese-spec model:

Custom elements include matte black wheels with orange or black brake calipers, along with black chrome around the grille and windows.

Inside, the black interior is highlighted by orange stitching and new wood trim stained with deep black sumi ink. The USA differs from other markets with an exclusive wood-trimmed steering wheel as well.

All RC F SPORT Black Line coupes come equipped with the Navigation + Mark Levinson Audio Package, Intuitive Parking Assist, Moonroof and Triple Beam LED headlamps.

The Black Line special edition is available on all four versions of the RC coupe. The base RC 300 comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The RC 300 AWD, RC 350 and RC 350 AWD come with a 3.5-liter V6.

The RC F SPORT Black Line models will start at $51,730 for the RC 300 and go up from there:

RC 300 – $51,730 / RC 300 AWD – $53,755
RC 350 – $54,660 / RC 350 AWD – $56,120

The RC F SPORT Black Line Special Edition will debut at the New York Auto Show later this month.

I'd be ALLLLLLLLL over this if this was available in Canada!
Looks like Europe will be getting this model as well -- from Auto Express:

Lexus will introduce a new special edition RC at the Geneva Motor Show next week, which will hit the UK market in early May.

Called the RC 300h F Sport Black Edition, a number of stealthy styling additions single it out from the regular RC coupe, while it’s based on the range-topping F Sport Premier specification model.

Given that the Black Edition is based on the range-topping Premier model, standard equipment includes a 17-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system, plus a 10.3-inch infotainment screen complete with built-in navigation. Driver assistance highlights include a reversing camera, blind spot assist, rear cross traffic alert, rain-sensing wipers and full LED headlights.

Things are unchanged under the bonnet, and the regular 300h hybrid powertrain is present and accounted for. That means a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder petrol mated to an electric motor, developing a round total of 220bhp. Lexus claims the system is capable of returning 56.5mpg and 116g/km.

The RC 300h F Sport Black Edition goes on sale in Britain on 1 May, priced from £45,165.
The black wood looks so good, much better than piano black, which could be mistaken for gloss black.
