Inside the World’s Largest Lexus Dealership

Country Magazine has a feature on the world’s largest Lexus dealership, the 190,000-square-foot Lexus of Arlington in Arlington Heights, Illinois:

There’s a movie theater, fitness center with private shower and lockers, a golf putting green and driving range, massage chairs, bed and therapy, children’s activity center, lounge with café and television screens, quiet room, business center, and a salon that provides haircuts, manicures, and pedicures.

“It’s not what people expect when they walk into a dealership. It’s like walking into a mall. That’s how big it is,” general manager Marcin Ajdukiewicz says. “(The feedback) actually has been phenomenal. It’s pretty impressive to view what we have to offer.”

The numbers are just crazy — 170,000-square-feet and both floors of the dealership are dedicated to more than 1,000 new and 600 used Lexus vehicles, and the parts and service department has 48 technician bays. All that’s missing is some hotel rooms, and it could be an all-inclusive destination for Lexus enthusiasts.

If the dealership isn’t enough, there’s even a rumor buried at the end of the article:

[Lexus of Arlington general manager Marcin] Ajdukiewicz says Lexus also has added “appeal” to newer models. He already has seen the forthcoming 2017 LC500 and LS models.

“I can put it in one word—insane. That’s how gorgeous they are,” Ajdukiewicz says. “Lexus has always made great cars. Now, they have the sexy-looking, quality car.”
