A Visit to Lexus of Royal Oak in Calgary, Alberta

On a recent trip through Western Canada, I stopped for a visit at Lexus of Royal Oak in Calgary, Alberta.

One of the first dealerships in the world to be built to the new international design standards, the entire building is bright and airy — let’s take a tour.

Lexus of Royal Oak Interior

Lexus of Royal Oak is a giant facility located in the northwest part of Calgary, though it manages to hide its size well from the outside.

Enter the front door and there are three options — an F SPORT corner to the left, SUVs to the right, and sedans straight ahead:

Right in the center of the dealership is a barista that prepares free refreshments for guests, along with a nice seating area and a Lexus collection display:

Climb the nearby staircase, and you come to the Royal Oak lounge, complete with a nail salon where manicures and pedicures are offered:

I tried making a last-minute appointment for the full Royal Oak experience, but the entire day was booked — clearly, a very popular service for owners.

Even the vehicle delivery bays, customer drop off area and service centre demonstrate the new International look nicely:

This video does a great job of showing off the dealership:

Without even realizing it, I spent the entire day at the dealership — easy enough with all the amenities, including an in-house restaurant (serving chicken & waffles!) at the nearby Toyota dealership.

Lexus dealerships always reflect their cities in some way, and Lexus of Royal Oak exemplifies the friendliness and hospitality I’ve come to expect from Calgary.

I left Lexus of Royal Oak with a very keen sense of “family”, that the employees spend their days working for each other. A great environment, and a great dealership.

My special thanks to everyone at Lexus of Royal Oak, particularly Natasha Richardson for all of her assistance during my visit. Be back soon!

This Western Canada trip was made possible by Lexus Canada, who covered my flight and accomodations.

While walking the property, I spotted a rare beast (at least in Canada) — the Lexus GX 460 in Satin Cashmere Metallic. I had to take some photos:

Such a strange color for an SUV — I was mesmerized.
