Lexus Named Top Brand in 2014 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study

For the third year in a row, Lexus has been named the top brand in the J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study.

Lexus absolutely dominated the study, which examines problems experienced during the past year by owners of 2011 model-year vehicles.

Each brand’s overall dependability is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality — here are the overall scores:

Individual Lexus models also performed very well — the ES, GS, RX, & LS (tie) finished first in their segments, with the IS & GX finishing second.

No surprises here! With Lexus injecting some LFA DNA in their new products now, watch out BMW, many more conquest buyers will cross over to Lexus! BTW, no surprise how poorly Audi fared, below industry average.
