Joe Bacal & Lexus LX 570 to Race in Baja 1000 Next Week

Lexus factory racecar driver Joe Bacal is one week away from racing his LX 570 in the Baja 1000, and has released a short video of the truck’s final testing:

Joe won the Baja 1000 in 2010, and is planning to drive solo over the entire 35 hour race — something that has never been done in the Stock Full class. I’ll be following the race closely, best of luck to Joe and his crew next week!

What no comments! Well I for one was delighted to help Joe and his team out on this years Baja 1000. We met up at BFG pit No. 7 Wide Open Racing and did a little running repair to Joes paddle shift gears on his snap off steering wheel which he was in fear might just "snap off" before race end and he was going so well ahead of the competition. Glad to hear he won. Didn't get many results then as we were on our way back to Ireland next day....some experience though......will be back again for more.
