Extended Video of the 2013 Lexus ES 300h

While reviewing the NY Auto Show press materials for the new 2013 Lexus ES 300h this weekend, I realized that I forgot to publish this lengthy b-roll video (which includes some driving footage at the 6.22 mark):

This video is easily the best look at the 2013 ES yet. I’m reminded of how different it is compared to the current model — it really feels like something brand-new rather than the sixth-generation of an existing model.

The hood line looks better to me as time goes on.I think the sour taste in my mouth in respect to this was a bad camera angle with the first spy shots from China.

It was the same thing with the GS photos from China -- camera phone spy shots are not a good way to judge a car, that's for sure. :-)

I'm still not feelin' it.  It seems so out of place on an otherwise brilliant design. I keep trying to think of it like Cindy Crawford's mole, but my mind keeps switching over to Gorbachev's birthmark.

Haha -- too funny. :-)  Well, you have to say that Gorbachev's birthmark is distinctive...

During the driving footage... how come the LED DRL wasn't on?

Couldn't say -- I don't know about other countries, but in Canada, you can't even disable the DRLs.
