Lexus LF-LC Concept Introduction Video

Today at the Detroit Auto Show, Lexus introduced the LF-LC concept to the world in an absolutely stunning manner:

There was a question about how the earlier Road & Track leak would affect the LF-LC, but I think the early reveal only helped to build significant interest — the energy surrounding the concept’s reveal was electric, with photographers falling over one another trying to get photos.

I’m still trying to process the full event — it was a lot to take in, especially with the brief teases of upcoming models hidden in the early part of this video. However, I can say without hesitation that the LF-LC is a true work of art, and I can’t wait to go through all the photos I snapped today.

More shortly!

If Lexus won't build it, I hope Five Axis won't charge too much to just put the same body on an IS C's chassis!

So you think they could just use Lexus/Caltys design and put it on some car? Ever heard of copyrights and such? Guess not...

Lexus probably won't mind that their L-insignia is moving about on this beauty! And there's more badges on the seat belt buckles and behind that little touchscreen on the lower, center console.

This is exactly the direction big L needs to go.  I can't wait for their new offerings to come to light.

I like how the Spindle Grille shape is reinforced at the rear... starts at the lip spoiler, pinches in at the tail-lamps, and widens again at the exhaust. They did a similar detail on the GS Concept, but it didn't make it to the production car. PS: go to autospies.com website to check out a ton of views in their Detroit Auto Show Photo Gallery... you have to scroll through a bunch of pictures, but it is worth it (starts around page 28)... they have one windshield picture, looking onto the dash; I can't tell what item is at the base... hope this gets you to the image: http://shows.autospies.com/gallery/photo.aspx?galleryId=377&imageId=141863&sort=&=

Pure art sculpture, only hope it finds its way into production, and inspires the next generation of models.
