Lexus Mechanic Saves Hawk From GX Grille After Highway Collision

Usually when car & birds meet on the highway, the results aren’t pretty, but that wasn’t the case in Grapevine, Texas, where Park Place Lexus mechanic Matt Whitehead was able to save a red-tailed hawk that had been struck by a GX 460.

Thought to be dead, the hawk was pulled from the GX’s front grille with only minor injuries after being struck at 60 mph — quite an extraordinary story.
