Autoblog Previews the 2013 Lexus GS 350

Autoblog have also turned in a preview of the pre-production 2013 Lexus GS prototypes, and part of their feature is this video comparing the current GS’ handling with the new model:

The difference between new & old are so pronounced, it’s hard to believe the two models share anything other than their name — the next-gen GS just carved up that autocross track.

It would be nice if there were a few valves to turn the car to near silence. STEALTH MODE! :D

dream car ))

I'm agree on WorldofLuxury about the GS might needed a silent mode ... but the sound that the new GS made is much like a quiter version of IS-F , it's a real engine working sounds instead of current GS which sounds like a L4 working very hard ! Damn Toyota/Lexus is changed !

I found a news right now: this car will be available also with a Turbodiesel 4 cylinder 2.2 liter with about 190-200 hp. What do you think guys? Personally I hate diesel and I'll never buy a diesel car but if this could increase the sales in europe is ok to me, obviously I prefer this car in Europe sell better with the hybrid powertrain wich is the most fuel efficiently and also more performance-oriented than the diesel.

Too bad this diesel rumor turned out to be false -- I think it would have been a great move.

They should be comparing the new GS to the e63 mecedes and M5.  In the video you can see its way faster than both of them.  Can't wait to get my hand on one and smoke those both of them at the stop light.

4th generation Lexus GS would be fast compared with 3rd generation Lexus GS is no doubt when compared 350 to 350 & 450h to 450h ... but compared with something high-end like M5 & E63 , I don't think any regular GS before GS-F can have chance to even compare it .

A current GS is faster than both the current M5 and E63.  The GS will smoke both of them.  I've done it many times on the street.

Seriously, you've done it many times? You probably never even sat in a GS. The current GS450h/GS460 can't keep up with any of the competition, no matter whether 550i, E550, S6, or M56. Let's not even start talking about the M5 and AMG.
