Lexus Japan CT 200h F-Sport Details

The Lexus CT 200h F-Sport also launched today in Japan, and like the regular CT, there’s been some new details revealed by way of the Lexus Japan website.

Here’s a good look at some of the package upgrades:

Lexus Japan will also be offering some unique interior options with the F-Sport package — really impressed with the black dot pattern:

The F-Sport package is only available with a single interior trim:

There’s also some detail shots of the interior:

There’s also another set of 17″ F-Sport wheels available, and they’re just plain super:

Outside of the visual tweaks, the CT 200h F-Sport will also receive a revised suspension geared towards performance, though due to Japanese language barrier, the details on that part of the package remain a mystery.

The Japanese edition of the CT 200h F-Sport starts at 4.05m yen ($48,700 USD).

I'm liking how Lexus is pushing the sporty and performance theme into their new products. If they keep this up, younger generation will later see Lexus as a pure performance automaker, unlike us older folks in the 80's and 90's who see Lexus as a luxury-first, performance-second automaker.

This is the tough transition we're seeing right now -- it's tough to sell a car purely on luxury alone, combining performance & luxury is the only way to stay competitive in the market today.

I note a difference in the front end in two of the images. The two Grilles(?)in the front bumper is not the same, in the two. which tells the truth ...? I'm guessing the one on the top. The front bumper on the small image below is similar to the one on the "regular" edition. Or am I completely wrong here......?

Good eye! Here's some photos of an actual CT 200h F-Sport, and it has the first bumper, just like you guessed. 8-)

@krew: I also think this is correct. I have a picture from the electronic parts catalog I can not understand, if the image we agree is correct. Must apologize, but I do not know how to paste this image in my response ... The picture shows that there is an option for the F-Sport grill in the bottom half of the bumper. this has the exact same design as the grill in the upper part of the bumper I work at a Toyota/Lexus dealer in Norway, so I have access to the parts catalog for the CT200h. I have also ordered a CT200h, which comes in April this year. I'd really like to make it look like an F-Sport version by replacing bumpers, side skirts and grills. I really hope that there will be a lowering kit for it too. if we dont get it in Norway, I am traveling to the US this the summer so i really hope that there will be a lowering kit available there. Do you think this will be Available in US? as an option of course...

The honeycomb grille may be part of the Modellista body kit. The F-Sport will definitely be coming to the USA, not sure exactly when though -- hopefully in time for your trip! :-)
