Lexus LFA Donuts with Scott Pruett

Here’s a quirky Lexus LFA feature from Autoweek Magazine, featuring Scott Pruett really hooning it up behind the wheel:

Amazing to think of all the miles Scott has put on these LFA prototypes — after all that tough work, it’s good to see him having a little fun on the job.

I'm just trying to find out exactly where sales are at, I'll be sure to update the site once I get a definitive answer.

Man... I'd just wish they would let some of those allocations go towards Canada, as far as I know there are about 10-15 cars allocated in Canada only. And so even the Dealer owner can't even get one themselve.

@Lexus Ben: Yeah, that did not make any sense. Lexus LFA allocated only 10 LFA for Canada and they all sold out before May. Lexus Canada clearly said they could easily sell another 10 - 15, if Lexus had agreed to give them more allocations, yet Lexus decided to focus on the US market.

@krew: Thanks Krew. I figured it out. I am story boarding a detailed Lexus LFA tribute video that will be dedicating to Hiromu Naruse, which I am expecting to be around 10 - 15 minutes and it will be adrenaline filled and also have lots of comments, figures, facts, stats etc. It will make any Lexus LFA enthusiast filled with joy!

Sounds like an exciting project -- let me know if I can help at all, and I look forward to watching it! :-)

@krew: I am collecting all the raw video footage and information I will be using in pieces for the video. One thing I am concerned about is the copyright implications. What do you think?? If I put names of all the sources of videos, stats, numbers etc. in the video, would there be any issue with copyrights?? Afterall, it is only an enthusiast video meant only for viewing pleasure of other people who like the LFA.

I really don't see it being an issue, at least as far as official footage from Lexus goes. It's possible you might run into trouble using stuff from the automotive magazines, but it's doubtful.

@krew: Yeah, most of the greatest footage seems to be in the non-Lexus videos so it will have to be a part of it.

According to this VID there are/were 60 available in the US as of January 2011. This kind of also explains the fifty available upgrades to the "Ring" edition. The LFA is "perfect" in every way compared to the european "slapped together" exotics. With the exception of the allotted sales strategy. What is lexus thinking? There are more viable supercar markets in this world than the US especially after the recession. When I found out about the LFA recently (been too busy working) I was quite serious in ordering one even though it is 3-4 times more than the GTR that I am about to get. Unfortunately, none of the local Canadian dealers would even bother calling lexus Canada for me because the 10 allotted were sold. But honestly, this car will likely end up as a major case of buyer's remorse for a lot of people unless they are so filthy rich and could not care less about cost of ownership.
