Lexus UK Launches RX 450h SE-I Winter Edition

Lexus UK has launched a new winter SE-I package for the RX 450h — here’s a breakdown of the features:

  • Special specification for Lexus RX 450h SE-I with package of practical accessories
  • Exterior elements include roof rails, front and rear under-runs and rear bumper protector
  • Interior features include cool/hot storage box and boot liner
  • Value of accessories £1,500 but price premium to customers over standard SE-I model just £499
  • Available to order now, from £48,899

Sounds like a great package all round, and I’m really liking the look of the RXh with front bumper underguard. It always surprises me how much difference one small change can make.

the question is..can one order this in the states...why does the US get screwed out of everything good. I really wish I could fly to japan and hand pick my 450H out! Krew do you have a source for more pictures?

Ugh, I really hate such silver bumper guard plates (unless on a Land Rover G4), doesn't fit the brand at all.

I am confused why the largest volume market does not even have an option to have these itmes----to me LEXUS could benefit from more of these in the future-----let's drive more volume where we can with such small additions or oprtions---I think the public would be very accepting of these items----

Its not an off road vehicle so looks like a ballerina in football boots, fairly pointless and ineffective. Its a copy cat strategy to add freebies to the car but generally pointless ones that are not for everyday use. I do think Lexus suffer from marketing lack of strength, very corporate still and fairly sterile. I like the cars but they still have 70s hangover designs especially with switch labelling and its easy to spot Toyota in every single model.

I haven't seen anything so far, but I'll keep an eye out.

It's a just bumper protector, so I'm not sure functionality really needs to come into it. It's not like Lexus added a winch. As for your design comments -- well, different strokes for different folks. 8-)
