The Lexus LX 570 is still about six months away from release, but it’s close enough to get revisit its new features over the outgoing LX 470. Luckily, Edmunds has published a video that does just that:
This new edition of the LX has been redesigned from the ground up, and includes a host of improvements. The video showcases the following:
- New 5.7L V8 engine, with 380hp (100hp more than the LX 470)
- New sequential shift automatic transmission
- Adaptive variable suspension with active height control
- Wider cabin
- Power sliding second and third row seating
Still, I’m curious why this giant of an SUV wasn’t released as a hybrid, though if the LS 600hL is any indication, it really wouldn’t have done much for gas mileage.
