People (mainly uninformed CL'ers) say LC is doing pathetic sales floating at the low hundreds so far in 2019. But the BMW 8 series is brand new and only did 275 in April. The market just shrank.

People (same uninformed people) also saying LS doing horrible sales is because it sucks (not enough rear space, too sporty, no v8) and nobody wants it, when the 7 series is newer and is doing similar figures. They can't both be that bad, can they? But the thing is, if the S class is so good that LS and 7 series can't pull S class buyers away even at this stage in it's lifespan, its just that good. And I'll admit, the latest refresh was excellent. On top of that, the market shrank.

ES is outselling the 5 series and E Class/CLS! Disappointed that the GS is falling so hard though.
Could the drop of E-series be because of new ES?

Good for Lexus Europe. Brand is quite popular in Kazakhstan. I remember when Dennis Den was remembered when thief tried to steal sidemirror of his LX.

Quite good performance for Lexus. Traditionally Hong Kong and Singapore has been BMW MB turf. I think this is ES effect.

The 7 Series has always been a second rate full size luxury sedan.
The 7 Series has always played 2nd fiddle to LS and S Class in sales.
Others like Jaguar's XJ fare even worse.
While Infiniti Q45 was axed over a decade ago.

I like this statement.
So very true.
Just that over the past near 30 years, the Lexus LS was that good too.
Lexus up 106.9% in Italy April, YoY +38%. 16.9% in France.
The IS position is concerning when you compare it to the C class Merc - definitely time for a new model here. Six years old now.
Interesting is that Q50 and Q70 were up 15.6% & 26.8%. Both outselling Lexus counterparts. Infiniti sold Q50 almost twice the volume of IS.

Most of the Lexus refreshes aren't very bold. The IS badly needed a 2016 LX570 type refresh to compete with the newer models.

They lease very well...that's why.
