Hi.

I hope this is the best place to post.

I am deciding between

200 IS 2016
ES300H 2016/7/8

This is my affordability bracket. What would you say is the most economical friendly Lexus and best one to get for fuel economy if not the Hybrid

Thanks for the reply ThePenguin,

What do you mean by "ISt" is that a typo or an abbreviation for the IS series.

He means IS200t as you mentioned 200 IS. If you are looking for hybrid IS I think it's better in fuel economy than last gen ES300h and cheaper.

Yep. In the US, the only IS200 is the turbocharged IS200t, so I've always abbreviated it as ISt. All other iterations of the IS (IS250, IS300, IS350) are 6-cylinder.

The IS300h (hybrid) sadly isn't available in the US.

In my area which does not have bad fuel prices current 2.40 for 87; premium fuel is 0.50/gal more. It would have to get 5-7 mpg over the es to break even in fuel cost/mile. I did consider the gs450 as a way to mitigate the [rem fuel cost but need a more functional rear seat.
