The guy is just biased, a camera ready, for drivning the rc out in the grass, an LFA standing by before he even has out IT on track... He had decided to... Without even... Show is everything, money for nothing and the cars for free... And nog he has ben suspended for insulting a producer a week agoo... Strange coincidence... Tajt was just in time for the rc track test... knowing his opinions about asian people... Having such opinions of asians, Why not the same rasist thoughts of asian cars bit not german Bavariche Motorwagens... You have to Knowles the history... The guy is just a joke...

it's true but there are merits with the RC F that he failed to address given it's flaws....

to be honest I think somebody from Lexus screwed it up because of cost cutting in the platform design (3 parts from different cars put together)....

My theory, he plugged in the Lexus LFA because he wanted to make an excuse to borrow it from Lexus Britain and flog it around the track. There are only two LFAs publicly owned in Britian and he cannot import RHD LFA from Australia or Japan as import costs a fortune. He is literally "bonkers" about this car so much so that he carries a picture of it in his wallet.

Its official. Clarkson left the show for good. BBC seeing no future of the show without Clarkson, has cancelled Top Gear.

UPDATE: Jeremy Clarkson Quits Top Gear, Show Cancelled for Good

Petrolheads all over, ladies and gents that enjoyed Top Gear's "ambitious but rubbish" take on all things automotive, it pains us to announce that Jeremy Clarkson calls it quits in his column in The Sun.

In a piece titled "So we lose the tiger... but gain acid-spit snail," Jeremy Clarkson talks about nature's battle against extinction and the future of the Top Gear trio. Without further ado, this is how Jezza broke the silence in his most recent column for the tabloid:

"I THINK it’s fair to say that nature made a mistake when it invented the dinosaur. It was too big, too violent and with such small and puny arms it was never going to be able to operate heavy machinery or even enjoy a bit of special “me” time." Pretty easy to understand, but we haven't even got to the most tear-jearking part yet.

“All the dinosaurs died and now, years later, no-one mourns their passing. These big, imposing creatures have no place in a world which has moved on.” What these two lines point at is the dying of Top Gear as a show and how the presenter will have to move on.

Despite 880,000-plus signatures for the #BringBackClarkson petition, Jezza suggests that all our efforts were in vain: “You can start as many campaigns as you like and call on the support of politicians from all sides, but the day must come when you have to wave goodbye to the big monsters, and move on.”This is the end and we can't do anything about it...

Fingers crossed other British broadcasting companies will bite his arm off and Clarkson will convice May and Hammond to start a new motoring show from square one. It will be hard to convince those two to jump on the bandwagon, but it won't be impossible.

Even if not for May and Hammond, if Jeremy will make a pay-per-view YouTube channel and continue filming car reviews, it'll still be enough to soothe our fevered petrolhead brows. Best of luck, Jezza!
UPDATE: Captain Slow confirmed that Top Gear is kaput in a not-so-cryptic manner.

UPDATE 2: The Mirror reports that "Jeremy Clarkson called Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon 'a lazy Irish ****," and that "Clarkson ranted for half an hour then punched him in the mouth - he was bleeding and dizzy so he had to go to hospital." In related Jeremy Clarkson news, bbc.co.uk was offline this afternoon, possibly because digital protest group Anonymous threatened an attack on the site a few days ago.

what most in here fail to realize is Clarkson is right. See if Lexus didn't name the M4 as a competitor then the vehicle would stay in it's corner as a nice touring car. The small dog is picking on the pitbull opened up Lexus to be picked on as always. I bought my RC-F with the optional rear diff in January as I didn't want to wait for the carbon package. The car weights more than my Nissan GT-R, by nearly 200 pounds, and delivers poor 1/4 mile numbers vs the M4. One thing I wish Lexus offered us was the option to buy what we want, say we want leather dash, alcantara headliners, or more it's there for us to upgrade. BMW does offer a ton of option on top of their base car, so what if there's some who want's to spend to get more? I chose the RC-F over other vehicles in it's class because I do like the design and customizing it would separate it from the RC Fsport. Wait... so far 99% of every person that asks about my RC-F thinks it's an Fsport model. Well next time Lexus really needs to do like the Germans and make the vehicle look like it's been going to the gym vs the standard models. Wider rear quarters is the main feature it should have had and optional 2 piece rotors. If they could import some Europeans to help with the final touches this brand would have less short comings in the performance world.

I find that strange to be honest how people could confuse your RC F with an RC F-Sport. That's no different though than people confusing an M4 with a 435i M-Sport. The RC F has very obvious styling differences from an RC F-Sport.

I currently own a 97 Toyota Supra and would have been all over the RC-F because it's an updated Supra IMO. Had it not been for it's weight. I am sure the RC-F chassis is lugging around reinforcement for the RC Convertible. Lexus failed the F series when they made this Coupe share the chassis with the regular RC's IMO. The 2 door coupe weighs almost as much as my 2005 LS430 UL with less luxury. The GS-F is going to barely weigh more than the RC-F and it has two extra doors and room for 5. A coupe should not be that porky, just think, the M4 barely beat the RC-F, how much better the RC-F would be if it lost 200-300 lbs.

Having owned this car for 5 months and only have 2000 miles I must say its a nice driving car. My major complain is its not fast, it's barely gets out of its own way and the transmission does not shift as solid as a double clutch transmission. A 2003 Mercedes E55 is so much faster and its 12 years old. This car is meant to be my touring car and I know I will enjoy it on the German Autobahn once an RS6, GTR, C63 don't race me :)
I rent an IS250 from Hertz overseas all the time and I am sad that my RC-F dash looks similar, I wasn't given the option to have a leather dash or Alcantara materials.
The fan boys who will disagree with my opinions are normally dreaming to own this car or any supercar but in the real world of owners who own and have owned many cars these are facts. the RC-F is nearly $80,000 with some options and just for the same price you can own a barely used GT-R or at this price range most can just pay a little more to own a new GT-R. If Lexus reads this my point is I really want them to step up and to stop limiting yourself, either you make a sports car or a car that can top everyone.

Saw an RC-F today for the first time in person on Sunrise Highway in Long Island - we drove next to each other and gave each other thumbs up. Pictures don't do this car justice, the car is absolutely stunning in person. If I was shopping for a car like that, just on looks alone I might have taken it over its competition.

Indeed. I've even warmed to the front overhang in person, which is IMHO the weakest part of the car's styling. Otherwise it looks great in person, just like the IS F does versus photos.

You got a valid point --- in fact a friend of mine who was looking for RC-F but then when he saw the price tag and the weight compared to GT-R, he was not interested at all. Note that he is currently driving other Lexus vehicles. It turns out he bought a CLA 45 AMG though he is questioning German car reliability.
