My thinking is that if the GS goes away, we'll almost certainly get the LS350 to fill the gap. If it doesn't, they may keep the LS350 out of the US to boost the brand image and flagship-ness of the LS. Or they may bring it on to allow the LS500/500h to move upmarket without losing the customers at the lower end to Genesis.
Don't fear! I've found news that the GS will not be discontinued from Motor Trend. Toyota will redesign 84 percent of its lineup in 4 years, including the GS and IS in 2020. Model Year 2019: New GX, ES, and CT (in another market). Model Year 2020: LX, GS (could be released in another market as well), IS, and NX. Model Year 2021: Brand-new RC
Note though that these are redesigns. Refreshes will likely be on the way for most of them. I'm not sure about Lexus putting an old engine in the new LS. The additional horses does imply that they're eventually going to replace it.
Yaris just got major redesign in Europe, so next one cant be before 2019... I think new Auris will be introduced by the end of the year and Corolla cant be that much later, by the end of 2018 at worst? At least Europe and World, USA is usually late.
Yeah, I'd assumed the LS350 was the NA version of the Dynamic Force TTV6. That would make a lot more sense to me.
Still very interesting, how that was already in testing.

That's what I'm imagining. The output being a little bit different from the 2GR-FKS in the GS, plus on the new platform makes that a good theory.
This car looks too good. I need to see it in person. Just the way I like my cars. Blacked Out.
