I don’t like they call the LC300 “symbolic”. It has versions with three locker, better interior than LC250, V6 diesel that the LC250 doesn’t have, covered door frames…etc.

But meanwhile in the USA
I can't imagine the TR in a near 5000lb Land Cruiser. Oof.

Dealerships are such a burden on the economy it's insane.

Imagine that $20k in the pockets of consumers to be spent on goods and services.

I hope eventually the USA gets leadership that tears the throat out of dealerships.

Anti social behavior need to come with severe risks to individuals. We need to stop tolerating and letting everything slide.

We'd have to elect representatives that aren't in the pockets of corporations.

The LC150 has the 105PS 5L-E diesel and the LC70 has the 130PS 1HZ diesel for African markets. The 2TR-equipped models feel like sports cars compared to those. A lot of Japanese highways still have an 80km/h speed limit and speed cameras so the 2TR is fine for them. Things are improving as the general public finally recover from Bosozoku PTSD and stop buying tiny pods made from plastic. Maybe when 120km/h becomes the standard speed limit and Japanese manufacturers will stop producing severely underpowered cars.

LC200 was too expensive for US market, the they did not bring LC300. Instead they brought the Prado LC250 and named it Landcruiser. Priced it the same as would be priced LC300. Makes no sense.

This is short term, opportunistic pricing by greedy dealers taking advantage of people without patience (or so much money that it doesn't matter). In 6 months time, no dealers will be asking more than sticker for these.

There are some dealers selling the LC250 at MSRP. No Mark Up Toyota is a FG group that has dealers posting vehicles being sold at MSRP or below. Someone posted a First Edition LC250 today.

On a completely unrelated note, it looks like some overseas spec Land Cruisers have amber turn signals. I like this a lot more than the red, and that would be a mod I’d want to do.

Dame Lillard is one of those dealers that stick to MSRP
Also
The fully redesigned 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser sees the rugged SUV return back to its roots as a small, nimble, and more focused off-roader. While there have been reports of dealers slapping enormous markups on the Land Cruiser, above $20,000 in some instances, Toyota has updated a current loyalty discount to give shoppers up to $1,500 off on the SUV. Toyota recently sent a bulletin to dealers outlining the updated 2024 Q2 Toyota Lease Loyalty Program.

With the LC 250 being the same size and weight as LC 300, it is like giving the LC 300 a 2.8l I4 diesel from the LC 150. New Prado will be slower, thirstier and have far less range than old one.
