On April 13rd, Pony.AI received the first batch open road autonomous driving test plate in Beijing. The testing zone is said to include 33 independent roads and a 225 square kilometer zone. Pony.AI received $400M from Toyota in 2020 and started to use Lexus RX as autonomous driving test bed since. Attached are related photos. It seems Lexus is back in the game soon.

No company in near future will be near fully autonomous, maybe even forever because of one simple rule
Human are not robots, we can't predict every single move from every single creature on the earth
Fully Autonomous will be good at highway though, but definitely not on city or desert or forest or even track, that's said we can even add that not a lot of people have a faith to be driven by computer!
