Amen to that. That article has me extremely excited for two reasons.
First of all, I am a huge IMSA fan. To see a new generation join the circuit would be phenomenal. I have been a huge fan of Mazda Motorsports within IMSA so it was sad to see them retire their DPi car. The Vasser Sullivan Lexus team has been strong as well.
Secondly, from the article it sounds as though a production car will be in the plans too. Car sales are abysmal in the US which is just sad, so a new car in the market would be exciting! Toyota/Lexus and Mazda are in partnership as stated in the forum earlier, and with Mazda showing a racer concept, and now Toyota I am confident they are working to build a sweet car to sell, and race it too!
Fingers crossed, and hopefully we don't have to wait too long. Exciting stuff for sure!
Fine by me, I will sell my Mazda for a cool Lexus/Toyota coupe or sedanAmen to that.
Also, it looks to be a Toyota-only development.
Yes you read that right.
I like how the design patent even shows the amount of negative camber the front end rear wheels have 😂. That beltline is 2000GT levels of low relative to the overall height of the car, it's stunning.Design patent submitted on 12/6/21 and registered on 5/6/22.
The front-side exhausts 😍Design patent submitted on 12/6/21 and registered on 5/6/22.

I still think it's a Toyota or at least 2 versions
I’m also confused is the GT3 concept the next generation RC or LFA II? If it is the LFA II, it would be well over 100kSo what are we thinking of this? High end performance cars from both Toyota and Lexus? Others are saying A100 supra. If this platform is only for 2 vehicles, I'd think they'd be high end cars (100k+) from Toyota and Lexus.
