Hello, I just got a 2021 Lexus Is350 F Sport and I am loving it but theres one thing that’s bugging me. The car has 21k miles on it and the transmission feels weird and you try using paddle shifters to downshift. The up shift is better but those downshifts feel rough I avoid even using sport mode until the engine warms up real good please let me know if this is a problem or not.

Since its used, but under warranty relay this to the dealership service writer. In addition ask if they could do a transmission computer reset, so the ecu can relearn shift characteristics. Record the events while you drive, and if they need you can ask a shop foreman to sit with you and observe in real time what you mean.

Lastly see check nhtsa for your Lexus; and see if they have issued any TSBs for transmission reprogramming etc.

Thanks for the advice I did that and they checked out on a road test but apparently it’s normal
