NX200 hatchback open failure

Looking for help with my nx hatchback - half the time the hatchback will not open when pressing the key fob or the button on the dash. It just beeps. and then I have to open it manually. Since does work some of the time I don't think the motor would be bad. I've reset it several times and that does not solve the issue. See attached videos. Any advise would be helpful.

If it’s anything like my dad’s Subaru, the passenger doors being unlocked = the trunk also being unlocked. So, try making sure all doors are unlocked before pressing the trunk buttons. I hope that helps!

if its under warranty, did the dealer give it a once over?
