Yes hybrids aren't going away despite sales fluctuations. I know many happy hybrid owners. I do like the comments regarding floods, having visited near there.

The CT is a good luxury hybrid in countries like the PI where gas is expensive. It also helps being a Toyota because the brand has a very loyal following there.

The increasing preference for crossover SUV's is obvious in Philippines too, adding something like UX hybrid in lineup would sell there (and ground clearance would be useful).
