For those of you who regularly watched the Motorweek Show, Pat Goss's videos, or followed his call-in / discussion shows, Goss has passed at age 76. I first started listening to him in the early 90s, and talked to him on the show a few times. I know John Davis, also from the Motorweek show, but not very well.....I've seen and met him several times at the D.C. Auto Show, and spoken with him about various automotive issues. Anyhow, the article did not give a cause of Goss's death. He had previously lost his wife Bonnie in 2019.

Goss was a real expert at diagnosing auto problems, particularly in the computers and electronics....absolutely one of the best in that field. I personally thought, however, that he went a little overboard with his recommendations for flushing out all of the systems underhood (engine-block, hydraulic power-steering lines, transmission, brake-lines, etc...) every 2 years/24,000 miles. If you did that, you would probably spend more on maintenance than it would cost to replace the vehicle itself.
