I had a look at the new RX in the showroom but haven't driven it yet. Quickie impressions are: expressive styling (personally I prefer it to the soap bar styling of the previous RX), great interior, but for me it is HUGE- almost alarmingly big! According to the sales person I talked with, interest was high, so clearly I am not in the target group (again).

Right now, the salesperson is not B.S.'ing you.......there IS a lot of interest in the new RX, and it is flying off of lots. How much of that is typical new-vehicle hype/publicity, and how much of it is real, lasting interest that will keep up even when the novelty is gone remains to be seen. But even though I myself am not a great fan of the new styling, the RX has been so popular, for so many years, that I would not bet against the latter. ;)

Here in Los Angeles county I've seen a few on the streets and freeways already. This 4RX will sell just as well as previous generations...I wouldn't mind getting an RX 350 F Sport or RX 450h F Sport...

You would feel, then, that the F-Sport package, even without any more power, is worth what it costs? Of course, that opinion is certainly not alone.....many others share it with you. One thing I myself like on the F-Sport is the burgundy (dark red) option for the seat leather and trim........I get tired of the (usual) blacks/grays and tans/beiges. Not that dark red is necessarily my favorite color, but at least it's something different.
