I think the A100 is almost certainly this new 2.0T - Toyota is very proud of that engine so far.

As much as we may all lust over Mazda having an I6, let's also be honest - it sounds good on paper but that engine seems pretty pedestrian and hasn't been anything close to a B58. Sure Toyota could use the block and do their own internals, intakes, cooling, etc. but I just don't see that happening when they seem very excited about this new 2.0T and in their own words, called it the successor to the 2JZ -- which the Supra made famous in the first place.

The latest issue of BestCar has an interesting chart comparing the specifications of the MR2/Celica and new Supra. It seems to suggest there are two drivetrain options for the Supra. One is the 400ps 2.0T, and the other is a 500ps drivetrain. It’s not clear if the 500ps is a 2.0T + electrification, or something else entirely. They are also claiming the MR2/Celica will be more expensive than the Supra.

Also, Supra will be getting the 5.0 V8 for the 2026 Australian Supercar Races.

Per Kirk Kriefels, MagX is saying there will be an inline-6 in the next Supra. I assume that would be in addition to a G20E option.
