Unbelieveable interior. Finally a car to beat the S-class.
And add
Ceiling speakers for the new ML.
Air suspension that raises the car and seat bolsters that open up when approaching/unlocking car.
Shiatsu massaging for the driver's seat!

Well.......that was unexpected.

The styling is nothing like the online mock-ups and could be.....tighter. I know I don't like the rear headlights.
It looks very good in the pictures, but in the flesh I was definitely.....underwhelmed.
The V6 is gonna be a tough sell next to a 449 HP Mercedes S-Class V8, so I'm expecting this to be noticeably less expensive than a S550.
And the interior design looks very.....busy. Do I really want to be staring at horizontal lines on the dash, for years to come?

Overall, I am disappointed. A more focused design with a small turbo to boost V8 torque would have played better.
A V6 like this would be a wise addition in a couple of years, but throwing out the V8 and saving it for the LSF sounds like a huge gamble, and a mistake, IMO.

Personally, I am not impressed by this vehicle, except by how counter-culture it is. It is lacking a presence, a gravitas that this car requires.
Lexus is better than this. I don't want this car, which was the entire goal here.

Surprised you feel that way with the styling vs renders. I'm actually shocked that the renders were basically 95% spot on, IMO.

I don't really have a problem with the TT V6. The new LS is more than 200lbs lighter than the current car, so it's going to come in weighing ~4,400lbs while being bigger overall than the current LS 460L and packed with more technology.

The styling is a little busy to me, but I think Lexus did a wonderful job with this car overall.

I'm a bit disappointed no other engines were announced at launch. I certainly hope a V-8 option is made that is not a LS F. We know the LS F and hydrogen model is coming.

The V6-TT is a great start, 415hp from a 3.5 V-6 is really dope. I'm currently driving a 2017 740iL with their tt V-6 with "only" a 320hp engine and I'll be honest it drives and pulls just fine 95% of the time.

FYI the Panamera is a 2.9 V-6 rated at 440hp...

I am not even close to the target market for the LS but I think Lexus did a great job with this new generation. The styling is consistent with their new design language and it's nice to see big steps on improving the interior.

My favorite part of the reveal was the new engine though. Really looking forward to new engines in the Lexus/Toyota lineup as most of theirs have been around for a while now. I think know the twin turbos paired with the 10speed will make the power very linear and usable.
