I feel the same, seems like the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept has more hype than this.

You don't want to hype people too early and then have a late product launch. Like you mentioned the first LFA but also the NC1 NSX too

They probably came up with that strategy before the bottom fell out of the BEV market. We'll see if they adjust.

With EV "sports cars" approaching 2000hp these days it's hard to create hype for any ICE sports car.

The LFR isn't even that special in 2025. Similar things existed a decade ago. That's why Lexus is avoiding hard to have it compared with the LFA.
