Lexus GS F buyers in Canada have lucked out with a very special Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) interior trim.

And in Canada I believe the GS F gets the luxury package. KREW or anyone can you confirm?

Honestly I prefer the trim we are getting in the states but this is very original.

I agree I like the states version better but to be able to say you have anything that was on the LFA is really cool!

WOW! I am very surprised but also very happy to see this at Toyota. It shows they are working on the right things. Toyota has shown its expertise with the LFA (McLaren and BMW are the other two experts), it is nice to see them pursuing their development of CFRP. Unlike unidirectional or the common woven carbon fiber reinforced plastic, what we can see in this GS-F is forged carbon fiber reinforced plastic, called forged composites. It is quite different from traditional CFRP and has its own advantages.

You can read more about it here: http://www.quantumcomposites.com/pdf/papers/2011-ASC-montreal-forged-suspens.pdf

It looks weird..and cool at the same time, maybe it'll take some time to get used to. Still love the original CF look more though..

This defiantly makes a Lexus a special BRAND!
Not like other brands who has the same exact style of Carbon Fiber
LOVE IT

Personally, I don't like the specific look of it. Seems more like a sort of marble stone effect or something. But it is definitely a very original type of insert.

Agree with most of the comments above. I'm not feeling the look but that's including the Alcantara on the console, dash, door panels like the RCF, though surely the material quality and execution is top notch. I would prefer a really dark premium wood personally on this car even over the more traditional CF trim the US model gets.

Surprised by the general reaction, I would have thought more people would like it. The thing that gets me is the subtlety -- even though it's carbon fiber, it has that wood look.

(Too bad that neither Canada nor the USA has a choice between this and the more typical carbon fiber weave.)

I can see the "wood-look" but it's too coarse-grained and glossy for my tastes and reminds me of cheap high-gloss laminate counter-top. :(

As I mentioned it is a special CF, in terms of process, that is only used by Lamborghini and some luxury watches such as Audemars Piguet. Forged carbon fiber is stronger and lighter than titanium.

I checked it out last night and pics don't do the CFRP justice. Much more appealing in person than in pics. Here are some I snapped of this gorgeous Caviar F.

Also note, Canadian GS F's come as one loaded model, with HUD, heated steering wheel, ML, and rear-seat radio/heat/privacy shade controls.:)

I just don't understand how you guys in Canada get a loaded car and us in the states don't. Makes no bloody sense to me.

I know. 10x the market makes no sense to me as well. Time to move up here Mike?! :D

Oh and exact MSRP I just got word from my favorite Lexus dealer, is $95,000 Cdn$.

US folks... that's less than 70K USD converted to today's weak Cdn dollar exchange! Tempting to buy from the Great White North despite any import tariffs and taxes as you may still come up on top. Question is will LExus USA warranty the car...

I absolutely love the places I've visited there, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto. Considering the exchange rate it might make sense to buy it if it was possible.
