So on Saturday, my dad and I had time to kill before picking up the RX from service at the Lexus dealer, so we perused the "boulevard of cars" and there was a Kia store. Spotted a Stinger, and instantly took off to see it. Went to the Monroney and surprised to see an ADM of $10k. Yeah its a hot car, but $10K markup for a Kia? Having dealt with one Kia store, I'm instantly put off.

Yesterday, at the LAAS, Kia pulled the stops for a huge space and the Stinger line was at least an hour wait...yeah, there's a lot of interest for the car, translating to sales, we shall see, but if they will sell them like this below,

Having said that, got to drive a Niro without the long wait, and it is a very nice car.

I would be shocked if anyone bought it over sticker.... MSRP...maybe yes.

Just traded my RC F for a Stinger GT AWD Limited (loaded) in Thunder Grey/Red combo. For perspective, in Canada, this loaded Stinger is 50K Cdn - the exact price for an IS 300 AWD F Sport Series 2.

Let's just say badge-stigma aside, this new car is an incredibly polished and fast high-tech piece of machinery.

HUD, AVS, Torque Vectoring, Brembo brakes, Michelin Pilot rubber, Nappa leather, 360 camera, wireless charging, to name a few bells and whistles... :D

RC F will be missed, especially its melodious V8, but having used it for only 8k km in two years, stored in my garage 90%+ of the time, made me come to terms that this premium GT sports car is not in my best interest anymore.

Congratulations. Beautiful car. :)

See, folks.....today's Kia/Hyundai/Genesis products can compete with the Japanese. ;)

If I were in the market for a RWD sport-sedan, the Stinger would also be very high on my list....for a FWD sport-sedan, I'd probably go with the Buick Regal GS.

Wow, that's cool. RCF trade for a Stinger. I don't know about Canada, but I heard here in the US there's a nice lease cash offer on them now.

I drove one during the auto show, and it was nice. A few cheap tidbits here, but the driving experience was pretty awesome in the GT grade for sure. I hope you didn't pay markup, because it seems Kia dealers are doing it (Never had they had a product before they could do so).

Thanks. No markup. In fact got tints and additional tires in the form of an $800 check as part of the deal.

Steering wheel cover and lower console hard plastic at the rear is on the cheap side, but rest is top notch including the Nappa leather, alcantara roof liner, and real aluminum trim.
