Is this sound under the bonnet normal?

My mechanic says it's normal in a chain driven engine but I'm not convinced. It's just annoying more than anything. I recently changed the engine belt as well but it doesn't seem to help either

I don't immediately hear anything unusual in that video. What are you concerned about specifically?

It's the winding noise. I wasn't hearing this in the past or so I thought. Just wanted to confirm if that's expected

I don't have a ton of experience sticking my head that close to a 2GR but in general I'd believe the mechanic if everything else is fine (no check engine light etc).
