What will Lexus replaced the IS with now that it's push back on its electrification strategy?
At first, there were rumors they were teaming up with Mazda for an inline-6. Then later, word was it turned into some EV project that got pushed back to 2025… Well, it’s 2025 now, and there’s still absolutely nothing. Time to completely give up - just go get a 3 series or a c-class. No expectations, no disappointment.

LF-ZC is coming in 2027. That'll be the BEV version of the IS. As for ICEV/HEV IS we'll know more around the japan mobility show and tokyo auto salon timeframe.

What?

Lexus is using the LF-ZC in the current ES promo to say that the ES is inspired by it

Haha. My wife has an X3 M40i and even as a SUV, besides steering feel, I can't fault it for anything else.

I am now a believer especially in that superb powertrain when I can always buy extended warranty on a slightly used M240i or M340i

Still rocking my Lexus CT200h and Accord so I don't mine the wait.

Lexus IS500 F Sport

HIGHS: Seductive V-8 sound, evident quality, driver's seat you won't want to leave.
LOWS:
Powerful thirst, soft brake pedal, feels like it's from another era.
VERDICT:
Respect your elders.
The Lexus is an emotional play and has plenty of appeal despite its last-place finish. If you can afford to feed it, the powerful, rev-happy V-8 is a jewel. It burbles a seductive low rumble at startup or when you're just prowling around a parking lot, then flips to a hair-raising intake wail when you stand on the gas. The best-in-test seats were also inviting, but the Lexus's advantages were largely undone by its lofty as-tested price. Next to the others, the IS500 comes across as a cushy, high-powered cruiser, which isn't the worst persona to have.
OK....it got beat by the CT4-V which is a head scratcher since its not even the manual Blackwing.

C&d is a honda trash outlet. Period. The integra and s3 compete. The CT4 and Is 500 are a different class. The score is insanity.

Look saying the interior is old is fine but saying the interior exterior aged? gtfo

“The busy exterior styling has not aged so well, and this car's Flare Yellow special appearance package amplified that fact.”

Related since the same owner. The alfa destroys the adx in pretty much every category but somehow the adx wins the comparison??! They work for honda.

The alfa is way faster and sportier now that doesn’t matter!?!?

That last part is ridiculous, the IS500 is arguably the most cohesive looking car in the group.
I cant wait for 10 years from now, when these outlets start to praise the IS500 as a hidden gem and the CT4 V and S3 are never spoken of again lol.

Can't even justify continuing to produce a long-since-paid-for vehicle that probably still does decently well and generates good margins.

Crazy.

They have over USD$40 billion of cash & equivalents as of March this year.
