I hope they retire the 2UR in the RCF and put the TTV8 in a all-new RCF, make it a true competitor to M4

Not a TT V8. That will be for the LCF in all likelihood. TT V6 most likely for the next gen M4/M3 competitor (ISF or RCF). Nothing else in this compact class has a V8 anymore. Remember, C63 AMG is going turbo 1.6 Liter inline-4 hybrid.

hopefully its a higher output TTV6, regarding the IS500, the ford mach 1 has the 5.0 V8 with 480hp and 420lb-ft torque going for about 66,000 CAD, I am thinking this IS500 will be 75k ish, if it is then it is well worth it - I hope lexus will price this accordingly

2.0L. The 1.6L engine is a V6 that will be in the Mercedes-AMG One.

A comparison shot from the rear angle on the width of the rear axle. The IS500 F-Sport seems about 2 inches narrower than the RCF. The rear fenders bulge out a lot more on the RCF. That means, the IS500 F-Sport will be easier to oversteer.

Interesting how the IS has a longer wheelbase but has the same overall length as the RC F. Lexus did a great job with the overhangs then.

Lol I was just going to ask if he understands that the new is got a little bigger.

The IS500 IMO is really going to be a special car apart from being the first f sport performance car but also because it's probably going to be the only f sport performance car with that much horsepower. Future F sport performance might have more torque but I doubt they will have that much HP.

Please read again. I clearly said the word "seems". That was my personal observation. I did not state it as a fact. This was posted before you wrote the same thing on Clublexus.

You made a statement that didn't have any kind of proof aside from just judgement from photos. Plus why cross post the same thing in two different places? This is the fastest way misinformation spreads.

I'm surprised photoshops with different colors of the IS 500 haven't surfaced yet. Not like it's terribly different from the IS 350 F SPORT... but... I still wanna see...

I don't think it is nice to downplay any either the IS 500 or RC F. The RC F is track ready, it is a coupe, the IS 500 is more practical with 4 doors for those that transport more than 2 people occasionally and the last and probably the best execution of the sporty compact sedan.

i wonder if this is a ploy to bump RCF sales. Maybe if they price it JUST a little lower than RCF ppl will say f it and spend the extra ~5k-10k for the RCF to get the aesthetics/name. whatever it is, super welcomed arrival <3 <3 <3

Unlikely. The performance coupe segment is a very niche market. The IS 500 F SPORT Performance will fill in part of a void that the GS F vacated, but at a more interesting price point.
