How much should I be expecting to spend on these repairs?

My car was working smoothly and I was shocked when my mechanic came back with all of these problems, when I left it for routine maintenance service.

How much should I be expecting to spend on these? Also how can I know these indeed need repair/replacement?

• Wipers
• Rear brake pads
• highly suggest fitting brake discs also
• Left rear shock
• Drivebelt replacement
• Suggest right rear shock also, good idea to do shocks in pairs
• Wheel alignment
• Air filter
• A/c cleaner
• Rear wiper

How old/high mileage is the car? Those are all regular maintenance items except for the wheel alignment, it just varies how regularly. If you're in a hot environment a lot of those things will need replacement more often than average because rubber is just that way, for instance.
