When you think of the ultimate Lexus you might think of the LFA... but you can buy this V8 super luxury "sports" car for the price of one wheel off the LFA. The Lexus SC430 was an absolute triumph. It had unheard of technology for the time in a package that kept it all out of the way and understated. It has one of the best factory audio systems you'll hear in your life, it was designed by Mark Levinson and can play at outrageous levels. It has an excellent convertible hardtop that's aluminum to keep the weight down (especially up high where it matters). That's all powered by the one of the worlds smoothest 4.3L V8 engines and a 5 speed automatic transmission that does everything it can to make the shifts disappear. Unfortunately this 2005 SC430 is broken, the horn failed and today we're going to fix it by replacing the clockspring or "spiral cable".
