Correct, there is no "Day Mode", only "Night Mode". If you have a 16+ RX with Navigation, push the Menu button, and you'll see a Display button on the top right corner of the screen. You can adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen there. You can also manually turn on "Night Mode" and adjust the same settings for when the headlights are on.
