@Levi

Unfortunately yes
But my problem is that the ES is a sales disaster
It doesn't make any sense to approximately killing 5 models to count the sales in only 1 model

I always see those 5 models and specially the GS and the Avalon as a true Cinderellas to the ES

So either kill the GS / Avalon or kill the ES
But honestly if the GS been killed. I will lose every and any hope in Lexus once and for all

@meth.ix
Agree on the LX to be turned to crossover
But the GX need to be a small LX as the GS need to be small LS

I am not talking to be 100 % smaller version like the Germans. I am talking it's position in the lineup

Leave the LX alone, because it's a legend in its own time, especially in non-US markets. Make a new GA-L CUV that's an LS500 on stilts. Offer an over-the-top bling trim level for Escalade conquest sales and other chrome fans. Bring out the oft-rumored 3-row RX. Profit.

Nimbleness is not what luxury owners want in the LX. They want comfort that just cannot be delivered in even the best unibody platforms (ahem* LS and other flagship sedans and large crossovers).

The LX 570 has become legendary in the Middle East/Russia in recent years more so than it was during the production run of the LX 470.
They are EVERYWHERE and sales are better than ever.

Owners in the GCC do use them off road ( camping - general off roading/dune bashing/hunting trips ) They drive them as if they were Land Cruisers, why? Because it is a LAND CRUISER deep down and no shame in that and its part of what makes the LX stand out from competitors and why sales are so well in the Middle East/Russia.
Last year in one of the big falcon tournaments in Qatar, the official chase vehicle for the referee and commentator was an LX 570 with king shocks, and almost vehicle you would see at the event was either an LX OR LC.

Unlike its Toyota twin the Prado, The GX isn't really popular in the Middle East and they rarely ever take it off road, the GX in its current form also doesn't even come close to having the same legendary status or presence as the LX.

I like your post here !!!

But I really think Lexus should divide up their line-up more clearly and create segments within their showroom. For example create different brands within their brand and please rename the cars OMG they make no sense.

(1) Create an premium off-road brand that actually has the correct departure angles etc ... lineup should be:
- Tundra based SUV & Truck
- Tacoma based SUV & Truck
- Camry based AWD Sedan & Wagon
(Current models: LX, GX)
*Compete with GMC & Subaru
*Must have its own styling

(2) Create a Comfort focused Luxury Line-Up:
- create a luxury version of every FWD Toyota sedan, coupe, and crossover
- create a luxury version of every Toyota hybrid
(Current models: NX, RX, ES, CT)
*Compete with Buick, Lincoln, Mercedes
*Try to make all models AWD as standard equipment
*Must have its own styling

(3) Create a Luxury Performance Luxury Line-up:
- Create RWD sedans, coupes, SUVs, etc
- RC coupe + convertible + coupe sedan + roadster +coupe SUV
- GS coupe + convertible + coupe sedan + coupe SUV
- LS coupe + convertible + coupe sedan + roadster + coupe SUV
(Current models: RC, GS, LS)
*Compete with Porsche, BMW, Mercedes
*Must have its owns styling
