It just proves how superficial they all are. They are judging the car on looks and paper specs alone, without driving (or even sitting in one) yet. Under the skin, it is still a Toyota Hybrid / Prius (which they all do not like for one reason or another).

Well said. Although I think there is some positivity because it has some good power even in the base 1.8 with 140hp. Then 190hp for 2L and 220 for phev, which doesn't make it a sloth. And it doesn't look horrible either. Things that were criticized with the Prius in the past is now not a problem, that's why we have such a good reaction imo

Definitely the best designed "soap bar" EV style body ever.

Quirky design, anemic power, cheap interior were what the Prius was known for. They addressed all these issues so no surprise it's so well received.
