After seeing the new one in person, it looks really good to me. Shocked me .
I just tested one. Can't believe they sell a manual transmission V8 sports car at a $5k discount? My relative bought a Z and paid 3k over and the Mustang GT is clearly the better car. There is a lot of inventory for Mustangs near me while all Supras are already taken before leaving the factory.
Ford did a good job with the on paper stats and features. But the Ford quality is just unacceptable. A brand new car and none of the interior pieces are properly aligned and it's already squeaking. The paint has large areas of orange peel. So many American cars I've driven so far are very poorly put together. The Germans at least hold up until warranty expires. Maybe I'm just taking Japanese quality for granted.
The engine sounds cool but not as good as 2UR which I still think is the golden standard for street legal NA V8.
