That really is impressive considering its AWD which usually adds 200lbs...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the E39 M5 was 3900lbs? (Just checked yes around 3900 lbs)...
So in 20 years the car gets 200 more hp, AWD, it is much larger, likely safer and with tech the E39 can only dream about. And it gained 300 lbs.
Seems pretty impressive to me.
