He is a mechanic, with little appreciation, at times, of how all the mechanical pieces may be put together into a desirable, "greater-than-the-sum-of-its-parts" machine.
I can't stand him. He's the guy spreading the FUD that you should change your oil early. Manufacturers have been recommending 10k OCIs on many vehicles for nearly 15 years and he makes a video of an engine that is consuming oil and blames it on the oil change intervals. He didn't do root cause analysis; he didn't measure anything. He jumped to a conclusion that 1) is good for business because people will be in his shop paying for oil changes 2x as often as they need to and 2) will get shared like wildfire bumping his youtube engagements because a "real mechanic that's seen some things" is saying Toyota got it wrong. What a hack.

The driver did a head to head on another channel with a supra. The rcf was making it look easy, while the supra was alot of wheel work.

Oh yeah, I posted that a few pages back in this thread. Supra also had a tune. I also posted him going lead-follow hotlap with a GT350R. Great driver.

That's not really something to brag about. The stock M340i is about the same.

Not a 12.0 seconds flat. I have seen low-12s in the tests and those I found are with the AWD version. The trap speed is a good indicator of top end power. Besides, RCF is not inherently optimized for drag racing off the line especially since it is on regular streets without prep. We don't have a launch control, gearing is too tall and the torque below 3000 rpm, is abysmal. When I do my Dragy runs, my biggest struggle is getting a good 60 foot because I know if I get a good one there, rest is easy because it will pull like a freight train no matter what. The guy in the video is mashing the throttle from nearly idle. The trap speed of nearly 118 mph tells how much it is relying on raw power for that number rather than a fast start in the initial 60 foot. If I were to go against an m340i, I would simply do a 50 mph 2nd gear roll and use that top end power.

Is IS 500 the same as RC F in straight line?
