It needs better and tighter regulation. Over a decade ago Elon has invested serious money & data into ML models to crack the stock market behavior. Back then everyone was dismissing it as thin foil hat lunacy and Elon was still swinging for the blue team, so there is that. If this guy is not arrested after all is said and done...
Anyway C-HR+ is bad ass. They improved upon everything they failed in bZ4X and made it right. It's gonna be one tight package.

Now is the best time for car manufacturers to invest in EVs. Suppliers are hurt and desperate for buyers. Lots of cheap assets to acquire. Consumer tastes have stabilized.
Sitting on the sideline for the past few years and focusing on R&D, watching and learning from both successful and failed companies was the best strategy.

With the EPA saying they are rolling back everything EVs are DOA and everyone will have a Dually soon lol.
I am going to analyze some stuff cause i am finding this all a bit fascinating. Do people really want EVs or we all have bend duped because Tesla stock became a thing and it dictated the entire market.

Outside of enthusiasts, vast majority of people dont care if their cars are running on electricity or fossils. There are certainly many benefits that EVs provide, but the only people who can exploit these benefits are wealthy suburbanites, who are a small percentage of the population. For vast majority of population EVs are simply not compatible with their living arrangements.

Everyone i know 35 or under, those who are pro social, care about having a smaller emission footprint, whether EV or hybrid or taking transit. Weird. Young people dont want to live in a wasteland, crazy.

Anyone who thinks EVs reduce emission footprint is soy and mentally challenged.
And it weighs 2135kg. So the entry level Mercedes now weighs more than the flagship.

There are rumors that China will ban car manufacturers from disconnecting autopilot functions before a crash. So manufacturers have two options: either stop advertising ADAS features as self drive or take full legal responsibilities if they claim the car as self driving.
This needs to be the standard practice period. A car can either have driving assist that always require driver attention or self drive that fully takes responsibility for occupants safety. There should be no middle ground.

A year ago I accepted a new challenge and I'm now working in a Mercedes dealer as a trucks sales manager so in the last year I had something like 6 new MB's - 4 of them CLA's - and got to drive (basically) the whole MB line up.
The thing I most love in the CLA is the rational screen area while keeping a decently shaped dashboard. This one just seems to be a flat plywood... Let's hope it's nicer in real life because most certainly it will be my next company car...
This kind of all screen and super flat dashboard reminds me of those 80'e Land Cruisers:
After years of evolving dashboards and clusters - suddenly almost all car manufacturers turn lazy and just slap more screens...
