And while I initially dismissed the idea of a V12 Century Coupe, every outlet has been corroborating that it will be ICE powered not BEV. Akio is pouring out his heart and soul for this Century project. I don't see why they couldn't develop a V12 for it. Even though more likely it'll be powered by the new V8.

It will probably be V8 powered. Century is a tier below Rolls Royce, and is likely more inline with Bentley.

Higher chance that Subaru will make a new Flat 6 than Toyota will make a new V12 lol /s. Aussie car websites are known for making stuff up to get views, much like quite a number of Japanes car websites. Also, sucks to see car review outlets like UK's Autocar go from a legit car magazine that tests cars properly, to one that relies on their own made up rumours and being paid to aggressively advertise EVs to survive.

I hope they share news about the Lexus at the reveal or at least at the tokyo auto salon.

I mean Akio himself said he'll be on stage for the unveil at the end of the year.

I don't think there is going to be a Lexus ICE version of the GT unless Lexus USA dealers lobbied hard enough to get a rebadged version of this car in showrooms.

And I think the Lexus Sport concept is completely unrelated to the GT, but that's just my opinion

They don't want Lexus to have any continuity.

It's literally an experimental sandbox for them and a con job on luxury car saps.

They just released a video trying to hijack all the Lexus goodwill with a simple "lol guys soul lives in im akio toyoda lol my dad was ceo" video.

Screw toyota and Akio. Watch them put LC500 handles in this thing too, and have styling that is very clearly lexus without the badging.

I'm already shopping around. I have no interest in being a useful idiot for some billionaire nepo baby destroying a brand so he can shove his name front and center.

Of that 30 second clip, the LFA gets a 4 second solo spotlight after the intro with the 2000GT and outro with the GR GT.

Says a lot.

Akio hates that the LFA is the most popular Toyota performance car of all time.
