Is there is some reason why Lexus can't have both? For whatever reason when it comes to discussion about Lexus models its "either-or" argument that very often rises as an issue. What premium Germans are doing better than anyone else is they have universal portfolio and they bend markets according to their product while everyone else adjusts to the market with their cars. China L midsize sedans are exception to this rule but Lexus has a lot of models that are unique to one market and absent in others.

Altered GMC Yukons with four front facing chairs are very popular in Central and South Americas with particular clientele. They all come from Mexico as used car imports. While a flagship mini van might not work in Americas big ass extended LX for sure would.
I think it comes down to the fact that the Sequoia has always been a NA-only product and never designed/built to the same standard as the global Land Cruiser station wagon. We know this from the fact that the Sequoia weighs almost the same as the LC300 Hybrid despite being much bigger, and also that it starts at a relatively low price. These weight and cost savings come from places we don't see. LX customers want the highest build quality of any TMC product period, so a "Lexus Sequoia" or "Land Cruiser LWB" has always been an idea that works in theory but may or may not be acceptable for real customers.

IMO the real path forward is keeping the BOF SWB LX/LC (and delete the VIP trim, make it the offroad flagship) while developing a Unibody, IRS, LWB "LX-L/Grand LC", that platform could also become the basis for a real Century flagship (the current TX-based Century is still too small in the rear). So the lineup becomes:
TX - mainstream 3-row people mover SUV
GX - offroad-oriented SUV with optional 3-row seating
LX - maximum offroad performance, G-wagen competitor (maybe only keep 2-row option)
LX-L/LTX - flagship 3-row road-oriented SUV, with optional 2-row VIP seating
Century - most luxurious version of the LX-L with handcrafted interior

Apparently Toyota doesn't like the idea and instead decided to make a 2-row BEV Land Cruiser SE, a product that is guaranteed to flop. That budget would be much better spent on making the Grand LC/LX-L/Century triplet, all sharing the same platform.

They sold the Sequoia in the GCC from '09-'16 then stopped selling it here for some reason. One of Toyota's biggest mistakes is not exporting the Tundra to the GCC as regular cab full size pickup trucks are very popular here.

I think it would work here for families in the GCC.
2-row BEV Land Cruiser SE
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a 3-row. It's massive btw.

Lexus could and should absolutely do both, and I think there is a business case for both here in the Americas. Mercedes has their GLS, which is a phenomenal large SUV, and they are also releasing a VLS next year, which is basically the S-Klasse of vans, and they will bring it to the US. They could and should absolutely be doing both. That being said, the larger SUV should not simply be an extended version of the current LS. They need to improve it's interior appointments and driving characteristics substantially, and also offer more engine choices. I would like to see the powertrain found in the TX550h+ that gets much better MPG (could probably get 25-27 mpg in this car) as well. It needs be ultraluxurious and a genuine fighter to the X7, GLS, Range Rover, QX80, Navigator, and Escalade.

Apparently LS now stands for “Luxury Space”.

There is also a LS Coupe on display at the show.

The Japan Mobility Show is live on YouTube, for those that don’t know.

Yup it seems like LS will just become a line of cars. If they do release something sedan-esque

LS is like a line now. I don't mind it. Maybe they release a more luxury-oriented version of LX thats more of an escalade-competitor and call it the LS SUV, and have LX be oriented to be their flagship offroader or something. LFR is also coming as previewed by the sport concept. Maybe the LS line could include a sedan in the future aswell.

So Lexus is turning the LS from a single flagship sedan into a full product line, similar to the Century? Including sedan,SUV, and now a coupes SUV.

I think that now that we know the future of LS, with there being multiple "LS" vehicles that will get released it seems like the LS will be top luxury models, LF will be top performance models, and LX will be top capability models. With this in mind your plan makes perfect sense. LS SUV as a Road-oriented 3-row SUV, 210 inches in length, that has the specifications you provided. I still want the 3 row verison to have a semi-VIP version. Then like you said, the LX can continue similar to what it is, maybe even lean a bit more into offroad capabilitiies. TX and GX can stay as they are (albiet fix some of the gripes like interior quality). The LS SUV Coupe concept could also work as something smaller. A performance "LFX" suv should be built on the same platform but as a more performance oriented model built to target the Porsche Cayenne. Finally have an audi grandsphere. I will release an updated version of what I believe the LS range should be a bit later.

So the middle seats rotate to face backwards I take it from the segmentation in the floor.

EDIT: Yup should've watched the video. Okay that's a good idea.
