Lexus has trademarked two new hybrid models, one in the RX lineup and another in the TX lineup: RX 550h+ and TX 400h.
What might those mean?

RX 550h+

The RX 550h+ could indicate the RX will receive the TX 550h+’s powertrain: a naturally aspirated V6 with a plug-in hybrid battery system producing a total of 404 horsepower. Trademarks often happen 12-36 months before introduction, so depending on how far out the RX 550h+ may be, it could also offer a new, updated powertrain not seen before.

I think the 550h+ will just replace the 450h+ (like Kirk Kreifels said).
The TX400h should have come from launch. 35ish MPG would be amazing. I( think this is likely to come with the 5th gen hybrid system found in the Camry. My guess is they rename the RX350h to 400h aswell?

At least the V6 is coming back to the RX but at a hefty price. I would get the TX 550h+ but wish Lexus would put a 3-person bench in the middle row of the 550h+ variant.

RX 350
RX 350h - discontinue most likely
RX 400h
RX 500h - discontinue most likely

Oh yes absolutely. The lack of a 7 seat configuration is a huge dealbreaker for a lot of people. I dont really understand the point of the 500h but I think it will stay. I also wouldnt be surprised if the RX goes hybrid only and kills the 350h.
