Stock base LSD RCF properly flogged around the Nurburgring


Cliffs:

- Misha really likes the RCF. Feels it has a lot of potential
- Some slow speed understeer that vanishes at higher speed. He thinks it is due to conservative camber in the alignment (he is right)
- Really likes the suspension and chassis. Thinks brake pads need to be upgraded (It is a high mileage RCF so not sure what pads it has)

Lexus RCF vs Toyota Supra

German comparison of RCF TE with Supra

RCF won the drag races, but in the slaloms, they preferred the Supra. Smaller size combined with the unpredictable/abrupt locking behavior of the Torsen LSD in the RCF, made them prefer the Supra.

Don't want to bust the party here, even though Akkodis claims the gain came from the new tyre compound which is most likely correct we have to also take a peek at bop adjustment table which is quite self-explanatory

WEC became a racing parade of manufacturers rather than competitive racing. My take is they are trying the best they can to turn hypercar LeMans race into Ferrari vs Porsche every single year. In the process Toyota hypercar got super screwed by new set of muddy regulations. At this point I don't even know why Toyota is even doing this when their car gets gimmped hardest most of the time. Take a look at this ridiculous bop in Toyota's case.

The GR010 had more stint energy and higher power to weight ratio than the 499P for the Sao Paulo 6hr. They are not just losing on BoP.

They need to develop the GR020 ASAP instead of wasting money on that LH2 prototype.

If they don't want to bother with BoP they can always join F1, or are they too afraid to do so?

With these last couple of races BoP is becoming a lot less of a factor, but BoP has undeniably hampered down Toyota's performance in the past two years.

From what I have heard the LH2 prototype looks to be in parallel with the GR020. This shouldn't be a problem.

Toyota is in every single major FIA-sanctioned motorsport series on the planet. They're not scared of anyone.

Saw it yesterday. Good review, but some inaccuracies in there. He never put it in SPORT+ mode. There is a big difference especially in the RCF between SPORT and SPORT+. The bushings on the RCF are different from F-Sport so the inner tire wear also affects RC-line including the F-Sport except the RCF that has the much stiffer bushings so no inner wear issues. Not sure what he is talking about the fender rust since never heard of that on any RCF.
