Of note, the driver's side window is clearly labeled Toyota

Time to wake up from the dream? Told you guys ages ago they never miss any opportunity to miss an opportunity. The endless nonsense is beyond disgusting. Well at least I’ve been numb to their S for ages so I'm completely immune by now.

No need to be pissed nor surprised. Last true F model was introduced in 2014 guys. After that we had only three F-Sport models that actually made the difference in engine configuration and the power output. One was second refresh of 2013 model which was severely limited in availability, besides US, Canada and Japan it was only available in some random markets like Ukraine, that would be IS500 F Sport Performance. Second one is hybrid SUV RX500h F Sport Performance or in some markets badged as F Sport + and the third one is upcoming BEV CUV RZ550e F-Sport. That's it. When it comes to F badge they even have troubles labeling them properly.

On the other hand GR brand has been on a roll since 2019 kicking off with GR Supra then GR Yaris, GR86 and GR Corolla all within three years. Now it's the moment for GR GT uber flagship model to become the crown of GR brand. LFA had the same purpose, to spark and crown Lexus F brand but unfortunately after LFA the brand went nowhere real quick after GS-F and RC-F which were both released within a year from one another.

There is the Morizo RR LBX which has received great reviews. And allegedly there's a Morizo RR RX in the works. I still think we'll see a Lexus version of the GR GT. The next Lexus coupe is rumored to be a variant of the next Supra, so it makes sense for them to have a Lexus version alongside the GR products.

If that’s really the case, then what exactly is Lexus trying to keep under wraps? What’s the benefit of being so secretive? Up to now, they’ve been dodging the question of whether this will actually be marketed as a Lexus. But as others have already pointed out, we’ve seen evidence suggesting otherwise - plus all the marketing so far has ONLY been posted through Toyota’s channels.

Are they worried that when the truth is finally revealed, there’ll be backlash from us and loyal fans who feel misled?

And if like you said, there's going to be a Lexus version, then where is it? Why have we only ever seen this one test mule from the beginning? Shouldn’t the Lexus version be undergoing testing too, if it’s really happening?

Saying a Lexus version is coming, when there hasn’t been a single sighting of it, just sounds like wishful thinking at this point.

To create hype. Plenty of companies do this.

Lexus has been reposting Toyota's marketing of the cars on their social media. Why would they do this if they have 0 involvement?
then where is it?
It's that same vehicle being tested. It's still a prototype. This upcoming japan mobility show is gonna be big for Lexus and we might see it there.

Is it because this car might be sold at Lexus dealerships? If that’s the case, then I’m really confused.

I'm surprised that this road car prototype without any crazy aero bits is already riding on Cup 2 tires.

Lots of cars in this segment come with cup 2 tires. AMG GT R it was benchmark testing comes with those tires

So what’s going to happen to the Lexus teams in WEC and IMSA? Are they going to rebrand under the GR name too? Things are going to get really strange.

The GRC Morizo edition also had Cup 2 from the factory.

They realized people who buy these cars aren't using them as daily driver. It's really strange back then they insisted the LFA must be a daily driver which really limited its performance level, when in reality very few LFAs have more than 1000km on the odometer. If the customer wants to do all weather grand touring they can always buy a set of all seasons.

I think they want to do a semi-works team like AF Corse or Manthey instead of pure customer teams.
