After launching the luxury brand in the United Kingdom 35 years ago, Lexus has cancelled the LS in the region and will remove it from the lineup.
The biggest culprit? Slow sales. Lexus sold just 3 LS sedans last year and less than 40 total since the turn of the decade. As buyer tastes increasingly favor SUVs, the global appetite for passenger cars has only gotten more challenging, but the LS’s age and lack of BEV or PHEV options didn’t do it any favors.
If you’re looking for a flagship Lexus product, there’s still good news: The Lexus LM minivan has seen considerably more success and is available in the UK.

I never thought Lexus would one day discontinue the LS. They keep surprising me time and time again, first it was the GS, then the RC, and now the LS. Next, it will be the LC. I don’t t want to sound negative, but the brand has become less and less exciting to me due to its absolutely disastrous product planning.

Wake up Lexus don’t let down the people who have supported you all these years.

@CRSKTN The LS is being re-imaged into a CUV. I don’t think the century is coming.

The Century sedan was based off of work done for the LS.
When they made the GX into effectively an LX, and the Century LUV was released, it became clear to some that repositioning would occur.

Plans also change and evolve over time.

I also dont care if they call it the LS, the S is for sedan.
They may reimagine what that is, as the Century has.

I wouldnt be surprised if they move to an upmarket LS/X, and use it to test waters on an even more expensive century offering for people want the old lexus experience.

You did not mention the IS, but the IS was discontinued in 2020 in Europe and Australia.

I dont its changing. That picture that @Gecko posted many years ago with that silver car in the middle has to be the next generation.
