I predict less than 10% probability Lexus will reach 100% battery electric vehicle by 2030 in North America, China, Europe and by 2035 in the rest of the world.
Yes it is a stretch. 10% seems generous

I'd say that number would make sense for 2060+. Maybe 2040-2050 lol and that's a big MAYBE.

I just don't ever see ICE's ever going away tbh.

Isn't it supposed to be on sale this year? First drives must be coming soon, no?

so, what's going on with this release? Is Toyota trying to massage some extra range out of it? I remember reading production was going to be low, so maybe they're delaying to sort out supply chain

Full specs are out from Lexus China.

Charging speed is restricted to 100kW even with the Panasonic battery. Charging from 30-80% takes 28 min so the average charging rate is only 70kW to get 50% range. For reference most of its competitors average 100-125kW over a wider SOC range (most manufacturers use 20-80% to rate charge speed). And I thought they say 11kW AC charging will be standard for all 2023 EVs? It's still rated at just 7kW for ChDM version.

CLTC range is 520km for 18in wheel and 455km for 20in wheel. This translates to 186-213mi in EPA range. Weight is pretty well managed at 2110kg, only 90kg heavier than bZ4X AWD.

Power is definitely not the problem for RZ. With just 230kW it could do 0-100km/h in 5.3s, very fast for its power-to-weight ratio.

Honestly I don't understand why someone would buy a faster bZ4X with worse efficiency and slower charging when the bZ4X is already so bad.

Not too bad for a half-hearted effort. Next gen should be lit.

600e = 150kw front + 150kw rear
So around 402hp?

You can change an EV a lot with OTA updates. If the platform and hardware are promising, hopefully over time it can get even better.

C'mon LX600e.
