Lexus Europe has reported 74,602 total sales for 2017, just above last year’s 74,316 sales — here is a model-by-model breakdown of the models and their hybrid/petrol mix:
2017 | Hybrid % | |
CT | 8,842 | N/A |
IS | 6,093 | 90% |
ES | 1,918 | N/A |
RC | 1,446 | 83.9% |
GS | 1,763 | 84.5% |
LS | 165 | 89.7% |
LC | 587 | 54.7% |
NX | 27,789 | 71.0% |
RX | 18,918 | 41.0% |
Other Models | 7,081 | N/A |
Total Sales | 74,602 | 60.4% |
The NX is heads above as the top selling model — the compact crossover makes up 37.3% of all sales, followed by the RX at 25.4%. The best selling car remains the CT 200h — its success in Europe likely played a major role in last year’s update.
The hybrid sales in Europe are disproportionate to North America, with 60% of total sales and 98% in Western Europe sold with a gas-electric powertrain. This is also their 4th consecutive year of growth, though sales remained essentially flat compared to 2016.
